Many companies are struggling along on shared hosting plans – never quite having enough
space to promote all of their products appropriately, having slow loading times because there
are so many other users on the server, and so on – because they do not have the technical
know-how (or the financial resources to employ someone who does) to set up and run a
dedicated server.
There is however, another solution – call it an ‘in-between’ plan, if you like. This solution is
known as managed hosting plans. Managed hosting plans in essence provide users will all
the advantages of dedicated hosting (or as many of them as desired), but without the cost
and hassle of having to deal with the hardware side and server side management of matters.
Managed hosting plans are available in a variety of options – some can be configured
according to the exact specifications required by the client, others are pre-configured. Either
way, users have a lot more resources and freedom to do what they need than they would
being on a shared server.
At the same time, they do not have to find the resources to employ skilled personnel, hard
ware, software and everything else that goes with dedicated hosting.
