E-mail services allow users to send single/ multiple files of comparatively small sizes only.
This can make it extremely difficult to send large files, or a collection of many files. Users
essentially need to break down large individual files into several smaller ones, and send these
– or other collections of multiple files – via several separate e-mails. This, of course, is an
incredibly time-consuming process.

There are, however, other options, permitting users to send large files and or multiple files to
recipients via free services. Here are some of these services.

WeTransfer – This service enables users to send large/ multiple files up to 2 GB in total size
without having to register for an account.

FileShift – Files of up to 1000 MB can be sent quickly and easily, and an online interface
displays the files’ tracking/ delivery status.

TransferBigFiles – Up to 1 Gb’s worth of files can be transferred easily with this service.

File Factory – Up to 25 files totalling 300 MB can be uploaded via torrent or FTP from a
computer or remote server in order to be transferred.

YouSendIt – Files of up to 100 MB each can be uploaded and shared via an e-mail form.
Files can then be downloaded for up to seven days.

File Dropper – Just about any type of file up to a generous limit of 5 GB can be uploaded.
Multiple upload is, however, not possible.
