New KVM Console for Cloud Server Customers

Cloud Server customers on our new cloud platform may have noticed a new set of controls in their client area – as well as the normal reboot, power on/off, there is now also the ability to re-image your server and also view the console.

Re-image
If you’re an Unmanaged CloudServer customer you’re responsible for managing your own server. Sometimes things go irreparably wrong or you simply want to start fresh – the re-image feature allows you to reinstall your operating system in an as new condition. You can select from any of the major Operating Systems such as CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian.

KVM Console
If your server has crashed or you have a network configuration error and SSH is unavailable, your only hope is the KVM Console to see what’s going on. This is a direct connection to the video output of your server, and also provides a keyboard and mouse connection so you can always gain access in an emergency.
